Brief product description:

The funds database includes all tradable funds and 250+ market indices. This includes all the popular stock and bond funds from Fidelity, Vanguard, Rydex, Profunds, Putnam, American, TRPrice, etc. as well all the equity funds available in the larger brokerage trading programs of Schwab, Fidelity, and TD Waterhouse. Also included are new funds, all no load funds, all sector funds, all exchange traded, and closed-end funds. For multi-class funds the database usually includes the class A shares, but increasing also the I, N, R, T, Y, Q, and Advisor classes available through the major brokerage trading programs. Funds are also organized into objective families like growth, value, health, hitech, telecommuncations, junk bonds, emerging markets, Europe, Japan, Aggressive, Income oriented, etc. Funds are also members of Buying families like Fidelity, Fidelity Select, Vanguard, Scudder, etc. Finally, funds are characterized by brokerage programs like Fidelity/Schwab/TD Waterhouse, Retail NTF, Advisor NTF, with fee, at NAV, etc. Sieving provides a way to mix, sort, and create inclusive/exclusive subsets and supersets of family combinations.

The database has an open architecture supporting a host of 3rd party programs which read FastTrack's databases. There are several royalty-free Windows ActiveX DLL and OCX programs that provide VB, C, Delphi, PB programmers direct access to the distribution-adjusted data and families of funds and stocks. The downloaded data may be exported to a wide variety of formats including MetaStock, Excel, and ASCII Text. Includes one file per issue or multiple issues per file formats. The FastTrack export to MetaStock does an intelligent daily update detecting distributions which require the entire MS data history to be distribution-adjusted.
